Greenseal® is the ultimate pruning wound defence.
For the control of Eutypa dieback of grapevines; Botryosphaeria and Eutypa dieback of almonds; Silver leaf on apples and cherries.
In addition to the original registrations for Eutypa in grape vines and silver leaf in cherries, Greenseal is now registered for use in almonds. The new registration is for control of Eutpya and Botryosphaeria which are major trunk diseases of almonds and cause symptoms like dieback and gumming.
It is important to protect all wounds against infection, particularly any cuts in the centre of the tree and on young plantings.
Greenseal® is a specially developed pruning wound dressing, incorporating a fungicide into a tough rubber like acrylic resin. The tough acrylic resin is easy to apply, UV resistant, flexible, waterproof, dries quickly and encourages callusing to ensure rapid wound closure. During pruning, trees and vines are exposed to various fungal infections of the wood which can easily gain access via the new wounds.
